One of the biggest theme park news stories of the year was Disney's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment.  There is little doubt that Disney will leverage the characters and eventually put them in the parks.  What would such a Marvel theme park look like?  Today, we'll take a look at a Marvel park which has already been designed and ready to be built in Dubai . . . but not by Disney.  Though there is no way for us to know how the Disney deal may affect the future chances of this park actually being completed, the concept art does give us an idea of just how amazing such a park could be.  Come on, let's take a peek at something really amazing!

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are officially in full swing and all of the seasonal favorites are back - from Small World Holiday, Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle, to Santa's Reindeer Roundup at Big Thunder Ranch. The nightly "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks spectacular is back as well, along with its signature snowfall finale. In the Parks Southern California Theme Park Blog brings us all the news and photos from Disneyland and beyond.  Today marks the start of the Christmas season at the Disneyland Resort.  It is also a very popular weekend to visit the parks and will likely be very crowded.  However, keep in mind Disneyland's continuing parking problems, and the mass of cheerleaders which will descend on the resort like locusts this weekend.  There are lots of great construction photos, as well as news from Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain.  It's a great update today, don't miss all the details.

It was quite a week at the Disneyland Resort.  Christmas suddenly arrived and filming locations were set up throughout the park for the Disney Christmas day parade on ABC.  Lucky park guests were able to spot celebrities or even catch performances.  New Orleans Square saw the addition of not only its Christmas decorations, but a new meet and greet and river show themed to the Princess and the Frog as well.  California Adventure is also getting in the holiday spirit, but walls throughout Paradise Pier conceal much of the real magic which is being constructed just beyond our view.  It is unbelievable to think that they've managed to add even more equipment to the World of Color platform in the bay, but that's exactly what they've done.  Join us as we take a look at what's new and what's news at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Disney, Disney, Disney, Denmark.  The Weekend Update is back with an AMAZING tour for you this week.  First stop is Halloween at the always beautiful Tokyo Disney Resort.  Then we take a gander at the beginnings of Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort, including a first look at Monorail Teal.  We'll also take a nostalgic look back at Disneyland's classic Jungle Cruise attraction.  And we finish up with historic Copenhagen, Denmark and one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, Tivoli Gardens.  It's another fabulous world tour.

Mickey Mouse takes on a desolate Steampunk cartoon wasteland in the upcoming Disney Interactive Studios game Epic Mickey.  While the game won't be released until Fall of 2010, interest is already rising in the gaming and Disney Fan community due to the phenomenal steampunk artwork which pits a cacophony of ramshackle Disney characters and places against a paintbrush wielding  Mickey Mouse.  Never has Mickey been out on such a limb creatively or so cool.  Join us as we take a look at a chaotic and wrecked Disney World residing on the back of a giant mechanical whale - the art and story behind an upcoming Disney gaming adventure.
