Carthay Circle reservations, Commercial Cars, Alice’s new window, Matterhorn +MORE!
The Disneyland Resort is entering the final stretch of its huge five-year expansion of Disney California Adventure and various remodeling and expansion projects in both theme parks and in Downtown Disney. At Disneyland, the finishing touches are being applied to the Matterhorn Bobsleds as that project gets ready to emerge from a major five-month refurbishment project. Nearby, the formerCarnation Plaza Gardens is undergoing demolition as it begins its conversion into the new Fantasy Faire princess meet-and-greet area. At Disney California Adventure, the park's new signature dining location, the Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street is now taking reservations as additional finishing touches continue to be applied throughout the new entrance plaza. In Cars Land, Disney has unveiled new restaurant menus along with the first TV commercial for the all-new 12-acre land. Meanwhile, work continues on various Downtown Disney projects, including construction on the newWonderGround Gallery next to the popular D-Street store. -

SAMLAND: Walt Disney’s Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
In his early days, Walt forever changed animation, and animal documentaries, and television, and theme parks. Near the end of his life, he also took on how family vacations could be improved outside of the theme park and how to build a community of the future. While those projects never came to be, there is much for us to be inspired by, even today. But one project very near to Walt's heart was completed, CalArts - a multi-disciplinary college that focused on the practical application of the arts. Join us today for a look at the big three final projects of Walt's life. They reveal a lot about what was in the heart and mind of one of the greatest visionaries of all time.
