Weekend Update – Epcot, Disneyland Paris, WB Movie world flood, more…ed
A magical honeymoon in Epcot begins the new Weekend Update. Rixter guides us through the adventures as travelers from around the globe share their photos and stories. Along with the Floridian nuptials, we are whisked away to Disneyland, Paris as the gear up for a celebration of their own. We then drop down to Queensland to to swim around Warner Brothers Movie World and end with a jaunt through Bangkok's Lunar new year celebration. That's some traveling, huh? -
Disneyland in Bloom, MiceChat at 7, SeaWorld Manta, Universal and Huntington Gardens
We have a HUGE MiceChat 7 year anniversary weekend ahead of us and a ton of Disney and theme park news to get to today, so let's not waste time. Disneyland's is in a state of flux with a few E-tickets down while others are returning. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure continues its sprint to the finish line. Universal Studios Hollywood reworks the line for the Studio Tour again, releases new videos in preparation of the new Transformers ride and introduces the Lorax to Frankenstein. Finally, we stop by SeaWorld as they unveil the Manta coaster vehicles and stroll through a little more of Huntington Library. From the Mouth of the Mouse – Owen, A Job With Character!
This week, we talk to Owen, who some of you may recognize for a variety of reasons. He's a regular here on MiceChat, along with several other Disney related forums on Facebook. He's also one of those unforgettable Cast Members that if you have the pleasure of meeting you'll never forget. Lucky for me, I DID get to meet Owen on my last trip to Walt Disney World. Owen is always quick with a smile, a high five, and the occasional joke. He's the type of Cast Member that goes out of their way to make sure you're smiling and enjoying your day. Working as a character attendant, he's able to fulfill that goal every day, and he does a fantastic job of it! -

Dateline Disneyland — Lunar New Year and California Construction
It may be a construction-filled off-season at the Disneyland Resort, but that isn't stoping some festive seasonal offerings from popping up around the park. Small World Mall is decked out for a great little Lunar New Yearcelebration that runs through this weekend and New Orleans Square is busy stringing up colorful beads and masks for its upcoming Mardi Gras festivities. Meanwhile, construction continues on Main Street and scaffolding continues to climb up the Matterhorn as work continues on those two major projects. Across the esplanade,Disney California Adventure's new Buena Vista Street main entrance plaza continues to take shape, with more finishing touches going up on the Carthay Circle Theater and the first glimpse at a finished Buena Vista Street facade. Back in Cars Land, Disney Imagineers are testing nighttime lighting on the new Radiator Springsmountain range and the new facades Paradise Pier's Midway Shops continue to take shape.
