Yesterland: Maelstrom A voice with a distinct Norwegian accent intones, “You are not the first to pass this way, nor shall you be the last. Those who seek the spirit of Norway face peril and adventure—but more often find beauty and charm . . . ” Ant-ics Begin and Diamonds Shine at the Disneyland Resort The lovely Disneyland Resort is the subject of In The Parks today. Summer rolls onward and the spectacular Diamond Celebration for Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary is going full steam ahead. This breezy pictorial from the park offers a glimpse of things to come. In Disneyland we see that a brand new photo opportunity has popped up along Big Thunder Trail. We also wait with great anticipation on the return of the quintessential Disneyland dark ride, Peter Pan’s Flight. The Disneyland Band marches into history as Disney California Adventure celebrates new movies Fans turned out to bid farewell to the iconic Disneyland Band early last week as the first notable changes to the band came to its line-up. The Disneyland Band in its current form only has about a month left in its 60-year run as Disney prepares to replace the historic 16-piece musical group with a new high-energy version of itself later this summer. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure debuted a new pre-parade celebrating Pixar‘s latest animated film, Inside Out. In A Bug’s Land, Marvel’s Ant-Man has moved in for a special sneak peek.

This week we sadly say goodbye to Disneyland’s first Snow White, and also The Disneyland Band. Then we are introduced to the 5 emotional characters from Pixar’s newest feature film Inside Out. ~ Aladdin ‘Inside Out’ Pre-Parade California Adventure has premiered a float featuring the 5 emotions from the newest Pixar Movie! JoAnn Dean Killingsworth, Disneyland’s First Snow White, Dies at 91 The 1st person to portray Snow White in Disneyland, passed away. Our prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends. Goodbye Disneyland Band and what will become of Flag Retreat? This week we also sadly said goodbye to the nearly 60 year old Disneyland Band. Only 2 of the current band members (one which is the director) will be in a musical group which will premier next month. Not impressed with World of Color at California Adventure?
