We’ve recently taken a look at the deluxe and moderate resorts at Walt Disney World, rounding out the Disney owned and operated resorts are the Values.  These are a fun option, especially for families with little ones who tend to love the larger than life icons that adorn the grounds of this tier of resort.  The price point is also considerably lower than what most of my first time guests have in mind when it comes to staying “at Disney.”  So, let’s take a look at the Walt Disney World values.

All-Star Resorts

Disney’s All-Star Resorts (Music, Movies and Sports) offer guests lower-priced rooms that sleep up to four guests (and a child under three).  All-Star Music also offers family suites that sleep up to six (and that same kidlet under three).  With several pools at each property, as well as arcades and plenty of room to run, these sister resorts offer plenty to do during your out-of-park time.  Food courts feature a variety of foods to please most palates with staples like burgers and pizza, as well as pastas, salads and more.  If you’re All-Starring it, you’ll get to all guest areas via bus unless you have your own vehicle on property.

Get Park Wise: The All-Star resorts are considered sister resorts, so guests can use amenities at any of the other All-Star resorts.  In other words, you can pool hop!

Pop Century

Celebrating pop culture from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, Pop Century has a pretty strong following among Disney World vacationers.  Three pools, an arcade and playground can fill any free time you might want to spend at Pop Century.  Everything Pop food court and pizza delivery are available to meet your hunger needs.  Pop Century also boasts dedicated bus service (aka it only serves Pop Century guests as opposed to All-Stars which can serve all three resorts at times).

Art of Animation

Just across the lake from Pop Century is Walt Disney World’s newest gem, the Art of Animation featuring three sections of family suites themed to Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars, as well as Little Mermaid standard rooms.  With three pool areas, climbing structures and amazingly themed areas, Art of Animation has become a quick fan favorite.  Landscape of Flavors offers a variety of fare, as well as a great selection of desserts, and our family even stops here for lunch every now and then despite not being Art of Animation guests.  Bus service will whisk you away to all guest areas if you’re visiting without your own transportation.

Get Park Wise: While Art of Animation has been consistently included in resort-wide promotions, the Little Mermaid standard rooms are typically not, so keep that in mind if you’re a discount vacationer.

Fort Wilderness

Again, Fort Wilderness straddles the line between resort categories.  In addition to the cabins we chatted about with the moderates, the campground also offers hook-ups for RVs and some hardcore wilderness fans can actually tent camp!  I’m not going to lie and pretend to know anything about camping, so here’s what Disney has to say about the camp sites:

“Great for larger parties, 4 types of campsites accommodate everything from tents to 45-foot and longer RVs, with a maximum of 10 Guests per site. Each campsite is equipped with privacy-enhancing landscaping, water, cable television and electrical hook-ups, a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Most campsites also include a sewer hook-up, and some even permit pets.“

Get Park Wise: In addition to having a great pool area and a ton of recreational options, Fort Wilderness is just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom giving guests a great location for a value price.

Have you stayed at the Walt Disney World value resorts?  What’s your favorite and why?
