It was a big news-filled week at Knotts Berry Farm as the park shifts from the summer season and gears up for the mega Halloween season. Knotts held a major announcement event in the Charles Schultz Theater laying out everything that is coming for the annual Halloween Haunt. Today we focus on what’s going on in the park right now, and taken in a few sights from around the farm. With most schools back in session this is a great time to visit Knott’s and to relax on the streets of Ghost Town, maybe eat at the Ghost Town Grill and pay respects to Sad-Eyed Joe.
Before we begin we want to remind everyone that this is the final week to enjoy early bird discounts on the upcoming MiceChat Knott’s Scary Farm meet.

Halloween Haunt
We are beginning to see clear evidence of Halloween Haunt creeping into the park. The Grand Sierra Railway has closed to make way for maze construction on Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises.
There is no sign of any preparation for the new Special Ops: Infected Patient Zero that will go into the more forested corner of the park here.
We are also extremely happy to report that a whole new storyline will be coming to the Calico Mine Ride during Knotts Scary Farm. My Bloody Clementine will employ the classic attraction’s updated sound and lighting, along with the return of live actors, to tell the story of Clementine.

Visit Now!
With most schools out this is the absolute perfect time to come to the farm and visit. Nearly everything is a walk-on. This area of the park, Camp Snoopy, is usually crawling with kids. Now, it’s nearly empty.
All of the other major thrill rides, including the new Voyage to the Iron Reef is no more than a 10 minute wait.
Xcelerator
Management took mercy and installed shade canopies over a portion of the queue for the bright pink launch coaster.
Buh-Bye Screamin’ Swing
We would also like to remind everyone that the hideous Screaming’ Swing will be closing on September 8th and not returning. We’ve never been so excited for an attraction to close!
That should do it for this update from the farm. Don’t forget to head out to the farm for some end of summer Labor Day fun. We would also like to encourage you to come and join us for the big MiceChat/HorrorBuzz Halloween Haunt meet on September 26th. It will be an awesome night!
See you In the Parks!
