Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! Today, we’re taking a look at the progress on the Disney Springs project at Downtown Disney.
There is a ton of work being done closest to the main road.
Far away there is a pedestrian bridge, very fancy.
Lots of new buildings going up.
Planet Hollywood is still open but will be seeing some major aesthetic changes.
This elevated train garden motif is a big part of the West Side of Disney Springs.
This is the beginning of STK, a modern steakhouse.
There are some Disney Springs logos sprinkled throughout the area.
In the old Pleasure Island area, many stores have moved in.
Some of the detail is pretty cool.
Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, which is lightly themed to Indiana Jones, opens September 22.
Moromoto Asia is also opening by the end of this month.
More new construction. There will be water here.
Kind of a tight fit over by Raglan Road and Cookes of Dublin due to construction walls.
This area where Pleasure Island meets the Marketplace area seems to be basically complete.
Lots of brick details.
The Boathouse is very popular, but also rather expensive.
They launch the Amphicars there and they always seem to draw a crowd.
Lobsta’!
The little square there has a reference to the Empress Lilly.
The Reggie boat is attached to Jock Lindsay’s.
This sign up for too much longer.
Star Wars merchandise is all over Disney Springs.
The food trucks are also permanently parked next to Bongo’s Cuban Cafe.
Again, more railroad theming on the West Side.
There is a Marvel themed gift shop here called ‘Super Hero HQ’. I’m assuming they cannot use the Marvel in the title due to the Universal contract.
They even sell a few comics!
Time to head back to the Orange Garage!
