It’s been a heck of a week, and it’s just beginning. Strap in and hang on tight!

Congratulations!

Sergio Iriarte and Mike are our winners, according to random.org, of the digital copies of the Diamond Edition release of Aladdin. Expect a delivery direct from Disney in your mailbox! It pays to read all the way through folks . . . you never know when I might surprise you with a little giveaway at the end of an article.  🙂

Celebrate O-Zell This Weekend!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4TH, 2015, 12 NOON UNTIL 5:00 PM!

OZELL-EVENT

The soda company Walt Disney’s father ran, and at which Walt worked, is relaunching next weekend with new flavors! Please join us for O-Zell soda’s very special Pineapple Whip and Cherry Jubilee launch party! The afternoon event will take place at Rocket Fizz’s Palm Springs store and will feature: Charles Phoenix, noted pop-culture humorist and historian; the masterful pumpkin carving of Terri Hardin, Disney Imagineer and renowned Pumpkin Sculptor; Mike Quinn, Muppeteer and Star Wars character performer; and photo opportunities with Monty the Monorail, an actual Walt Disney World monorail car. Drop in and out any time between noon and 5pm on Sunday. It’s a free festival of fun.

Plus, you are invited to a special Soda dinner hosted by Charles Phoenix that evening in Palm Springs. Full event details and sign up page at O-Zell Soda HERE.

Those two new flavors do sound good (and I already love the Root Beer Float and Vanilla Dream flavors), but I want Fantasia Ice Cream flavor. What flavor of O-Zell soda would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments, and don’t miss this awesome event in Palm Springs this weekend. What a great little escape for the whole family!!!

Goblins and Giggles at the Gaylord Palms

Last time Alice stayed in Orlando with her dad Jim Hill and his fiancee Nancy, she raved about the hotel where they stayed. Live alligators! Fireworks from the windows! A huge atrium in the middle of the hotel! At this point I stopped her, and did a little searching. Oh, my goodness. That’s incredible! Today I this note asking if I would pass the information along to my readers. Honestly, I would be only too happy to do so. If finicky daughter loved staying there so much, I hope I can stay there someday too.

Happy Birthday, Blog!

Happy sixth birthday to the Disney Parks Blog! To celebrate, they gave away Orange Bird MagicBands for a limited time yesterday. The Disney Parks Blog has been a fantastic way to keep in touch with the people behind the events, places, merchandise and magic that we know collectively as Disney, and I love it. They even actually tell us useful stuff from time to time! Happy birthday and here’s to many more!

Mahaloween is Returning!

…and it looks like they’ve learned some great things from Trader Sam’s Tahitian Terrace Luau. It’s in the same location – the great lawn where the Dancing Waters used to be, the gifts – kukui nut lei, print and mug with artist signing, and the price point – $150.00. Option to purchase regular tiki mug there as well. If it ain’t broke…it looks like the food and drink will be on par with the TT event as well. As long as the entertainment is just as good, with the Halloween element thrown in, they could have a great template for an annual event that will bring people back again and again. I really loved the TT event and I liked the first Mahaloween event but knew it had the potential to be so much more. It looks like they’ve found their groove. Okole maluna!

That’s about it for me. Thanks to everyone who made it over here today. I appreciate that you came over and read my stuff.
