Disneyland’s popular Halloween Time is quickly coming to a close and the Resort is wasting no time getting ready for the even more popular holiday season, which will kick off in mid-November. As Disneyland strings up the Christmas lights in both parks, Star Wars continues to move into Tomorrowland, with the Tomorrowland Terrace stage now closed to get a makeover before the upcoming Season of the Force promotion brings a new Jedi Training Academy show to the venue. Nearby, the former Innoventions building continues to get ready to open its new Star Wars Launch Bay exhibit and meet-and-greet area.

Holiday Happenings

Halloween may not be over yet, but the holidays are already quickly taking over both theme parks as Disneyland prepares for the launch of its holiday season on November 13. In New Orleans Square, lights, bunting and giant ornaments are already going up, with more on the way.

In Fantasyland, “it’s a small world” is getting covered in Christmas lights for its annual holiday overlay. The attraction is closed while the interior overlay is installed.

In Disney California Adventure, oversized Christmas lights and ornaments have gone up at Flik’s Fun Fair.

In Cars Land, the posts that support that land’s Christmas garland have gone up.

Snowy the Snow Car plush ornaments are already available

More holiday merchandise has hit the shelves in select stores around the Resort…

Imagineering a Disney Classic

Book available now
The third printing of former Imagineer Jason Surrell’s definitive book on the iconic theme park ride, The Haunted Mansion: Imagineering a Disney Classic drops the section on the lackluster 2003 film and fills new pages on more than a decade of new additions to the attraction. This expanded edition includes new information on Disneyland’s newly re-materialized Hat Box Ghost, Walt Disney World’s graveyard queue, and more. A delightful piece of Disney nostalgia, “The Story and Song from the Haunted Mansion” is great listening for your Halloween celebration!

This & That

In Cars Land, a scale model of Radiator Springs is on display in Sarge’s Surplus Hut. The model is a collaboration between Mattel and SCPS.

The Flo’s V8 Cafe model from the display is currently available for purchase. $99.99.

Disney recently did away with FASTPASS service for the Frozen shows at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Disney recommends arriving about 30 minutes before show time to get a spot for your desired performance time.

No more FASTPASS for the sing-along show.

Olaf’s Snow Fest is expected to return for the holiday season.

FASTPASS is still available and required to meet Anna and Elsa at Disney Animation.

Duffy’s female counterpart, Shellie May, has made her way over to the U.S. theme parks and is available now in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
