Today’s Dateline Disney World takes you to the Magic Kingdom during the holiday season. The fancy new Jungle Cruise themed Skipper Canteen is just about ready to open and already being previewed to cast members. Let’s take a look at what’s going on in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom . . .
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!
The park is looking great during the holiday season.
Moderate crowds considering this was a party night.
Nice poinsettias in the Hub.
One side of the walkway through Cinderella Castle is open.
While the other is not.
The Jungle Cruise Skipper Canteen is very close to opening.
There was a Cast Preview happening the day I was there.
The restaurant looks like it’ll be table service for both lunch and dinner.
The food should be themed around the rivers of Africa and South America and the Cast Members will be Jungle Cruise skipper types – in character and cracking jokes.
Refurb is done at the Country Bear facade.
Beautiful day at the Rivers of America.
Liberty Tree Tavern is open again now that the kitchen it shares with the new Jungle Cruise restaurant is done.
Work still happening behind Cinderella Castle.
Hard to believe that this week marks three years of New Fantasyland being open.
It looks like these posters need to be replaced, color is quite faded.
WDW Railroad is back up after its refurbishment.
You can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on Main Street,
Time to head out.
The skies opened up for a beautiful sunset, of course, the minutes after I left the park for the day!
