Holiday in the Park returns to Six Flags Magic Mountain for a second year of holiday cheer.  The park has upped the decorations in this sophomore year, bringing even more twinkling lights and festive food in a bid to keep everyone playing in the park into the night.  Returning are the four themed areas, Holiday Square, Rockin’ Universe, Snowy Nights, and Winter Wonderland.  Each area has enjoyed a plussing of sorts bringing something new to the mix this time around.

Holiday Square

As you enter the park, you are greeted with Holiday Square. Here the snowfall happens every few minutes and singers entertain the crowds with acapella tunes.  The Looney Tunes characters are out too, meeting and greeting guests.

New this year is a troop of dancing Tin Soldiers.  The novelty of stilt walkers dressed as toys is fun, but the gimmick wore a little thin after the first number.

Snowy Nights

Near Full Throttle is a high-octane version of Christmas.  Snowy Nights utilizes the Full Throttle stage and surrounding area to create a holiday theme for the YOLO folks.

Rockin’ Universe

Certainly the most dazzling area of Holiday in the Park is Rockin’ Universe.  Situated in the D.C. Universe area of the park, this holiday light display features thousands of synchronized, dancing lights and music.

Winter Wonderland

Still, our favorite section of the park at this time of year is Winter Wonderland.  An absolutely beautiful, snowy portal which leads up to a North Pole area, where guests can meet the charming Mrs. Claus.  Santa is there too, of course, but the Mrs. is on point.

They even brought the snowfall up to this end of the park too.
