Star Wars Days at Sea or “Aye Aye, Cap’n Phasma!”

The first images of the Star Wars events on the Disney Cruise line are up, and man, do they look fun. Wait, is that Captain Phasma??? I WANT TO GO!

Disneyland Days

I spent a ffew days at Disneyland this week, continuing my Magic Walk and visiting my favorite Disney prince, Kylo Ren:

I also worked on the Fab Quest. Hope it doesn’t suck. If it does, it will only suck for an hour, at least. Saw the train tracks ripped up by the Fantasyland Theater and learned about the plans for the training boiler and coloring table to be set up at the New Orleans Square Railroad station, which is wonderful! I hope they do it! They can’t let us into the inside of the station, because it’s “full of computers”. I did see an engineer assuring a worried little guest that the dinosaurs were being well cared-for and wouldn’t go hungry during the break.

Also being well-cared-for are the trains themselves. The C.K. Holliday just came back from an extensive rehab, including some parts restored based upon the original Roger Broggie blueprints, Every nut and bolt on her is “neat and pretty”; they’re taking advantage of the long downtime as an opportunity to really get in there and do it right. You’ll be able to see the incredible job if not by the end of this week, then by the end of next week, as there is always testing and adjusting to do to make sure that everything works as well as it looks.

Thanos is Over There, Guys (and Gals)

Kevin Feige just said that Thanos won’t be seen much in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but of course he’ll be front and center for Infinity War; there’s some speculation that he might show up in Thor: Ragnarok with Thor and Hulk. What do you think? I think he’ll at least be in one of the end credits for Civil War. Also, it looks like Spidey will have more than the “just a cameo” that was speculated about earlier. Good.

Tuesday, I’ll have an interview with Christopher Lennertz, who did the music for Agent Carter and Galavant (among a lot of other really cool things). I hope to see you this MiceChat anniversary weekend!
