Love is in the air! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, here are a few fun date night ideas for you and your sweetie at Walt Disney World.
Plenty of dining options and lots of entertainment make Disney’s Boardwalk is a great option for some lovey dovey time with your better half. With four full-service restaurants and plenty of quick service, bad-for-you-but-oh-so-good options, there’s something for every taste. You can even catch a free movie under the stars if you’re not too picky about the title. Live entertainment pops up every half hour-ish up and down the Boardwalk. End your evening with some no-kids fun at the usually empty (so no one to see your moves on the dance floor!) Atlantic Dance Hall or a rockin’ good time at Jellyrolls dueling piano bar.
Get Love Wise: Bonus! The Boardwalk along with the Yacht and Beach Club surround Crescent Lake which makes for a beautiful moonlit stroll after dinner or dancing.
Epcot’s World Showcase
Plan an illuminating night with your love at Epcot! Waterside dining, ambient music, beautiful backgrounds and lots of libations. The World Showcase is just begging to be home to your date night! Sip and stroll the showcase and end your evening with advanced dining reservations at Rose and Crown in the UK for a great view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Requests can be made for water side tables upon check-in.
While all of Walt Disney World’s signature restaurants would provide a deliciously wonderful date night, California Grill would be my top choice. With an amazing menu and a fantastic bar, you won’t want for anything. The giant windows provide gorgeous views of Magic Kingdom and the surrounding area. Again, preferred seating can be requested at check-in. If it’s unavailable, all guests are welcome to use the observatory to watch the nightly fireworks or just gaze over the magic.
Get Love Wise: Guests who dined at California Grill during the dinner hour but not during fireworks are welcome to use the observatory that evening with proof of dining.
Evening Extra Magic Hours
Resort guests can take advantage of this perk on select nights. Aside from the cost of your ticket, which was already built into your trip, this can be an entirely no-cost option! Run from ride to ride without stopping at stroller parking or worrying about an ill-timed bathroom break. Catch the late parade at Magic Kingdom or simply stroll hand in hand through the lights, sights and sounds of the parks after dark and enjoy each other.
Get Love Wise: Magic Kingdom offers the best evening magic hours, as guests with young children tend to leave early, and the Kingdom doesn’t draw in the adult crowds that the World Showcase and Hollywood Studios do for the evening offering.
What’s your idea of a great Disney date? Happy Valentine’s Day!
I look forward to hearing from you!
