Universal Parks & Resorts recently partnered with Hasbro on the latest edition of Monopoly Empire. In honor of World Monopoly Day, March 19th, they have given us a copy of the game to give away to one of our lucky readers.

The Empire edition of Monopoly encourages you to “Own the world’s top brands.”  Those brands include Universal Parks & Resorts, Ford, Caterpillar, Billboard, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Polaroid, TRANSFORMERS and more. Rather than collecting properties, you buy brands and collect billboards. It’s a much faster take on the classic Monopoly game play. No need to wipe the sleep from your eyes at 3 am as you count your dollars in hopes of buying that last hotel for Park Place and breaking the bank so you can finally kick all your friends out of your house and go to bed (yes, that happens sometimes in classic Monopoly). In Monopoly Empire, there is no trading and, unlike Donald Trump, you can’t go bankrupt. The goal is to fill your tower with billboards. The first player to do so, wins the game.

“The MONOPOLY brand has been giving fans the chance to “own it all” for more than eight decades, and this year, on World MONOPOLY Day we’re planning the most memorable celebration of the brand yet,” said Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president of global marketing for gaming at Hasbro. “We’ve made it possible for every MONOPOLY fan to join us in the celebration, whether on social media or at one of our live events planned around the world.”

Fans are invited to join the fun by sending a happy birthday message to MR. MONOPOLY on social media using the top hat emoji, and #Monopoly, or visiting Facebook.com/Monopoly.
