Let’s face it; we are a nation, indeed a world, that is obsessed with celebrities. There are channels that are dedicated to following their every move. The supermarket shelves are littered with their exploits. Television commercials encourage us to purchase what they use, travel where they travel, eat what they eat, dress how they dress.
Now, visitor’s to iDrive 360 can get up close and personal with their favorite film, sports, movie, and television stars, as well as politicians, scientists, artists, and more at Madame Tussaud’s Orlando. There, you are encouraged to interact with the more than 60 assembled members of the A-list, each one prepared with such life like precision that at a glance, you can’t tell they are made of wax!
You enter the museum and immediately have an opportunity to be photographed with man-eating alligators aboard an airboat, and are ready to begin your adventure. You journey into the 1500s, and board one of Juan Ponce De Leon’s vessels to start your exploration of the sunshine state, and indeed the new world. The Governor is right there watching you, and will even pose for pictures!
From there, you enter the wonderful world of Disney on one side, and the amazing electrified world of Thomas Edison on the other. You notice Albert Einstein standing by, and continue through the attraction.
Filled with figures from Hollywood now and then, sports figures who are immediately recognizable, historical icons who somehow belong together, and pop musicians who look like they are ready to take the stage, Madame Tussaud’s has something for young and old alike.
You should plan at least 45 minutes to an hour to fully enjoy your visit to this amazing collection; however, you may take as little or as long as you need to experience the entire attraction.
Madame Tussauds Orlando is located on International Drive. In the I-Drive 360 Complex, inside the Terminal Building of The Orlando Eye.
It’s a glimpse into a world that few are able to otherwise experience. But you’ll leave with a better understanding of who these people are (and were), what they look like, and make you feel as though, in some way, you just might know them a little bit better than you did when you arrived.
