Dateline Disney World – Animal Kingdom Nighttime Photo Tour

There are all sorts of things going on at Walt Disney World right now. We’ll open with a bit of news from Disney World and then dive into a nighttime photo update from Disney’s Animal Kingdom that we think will have your roaring.

Meanwhile, Epcot continues to host the “Sounds Like Summer” concert series thru July 23^rd. They feature some of the best tribute bands around. Stayin’ Alive, a Tribute to The Bee Gees will take the stage at the American Gardens Theater in World Showcase thru Saturday, July 9^th. Starting Sunday July 10^th, Bruce in the USA – A Tribute to Bruce Springsteen will perform thru Saturday July 16^th.

Disney Springs recently debuted their newest dining experience. Frontera Cocina offers tasty dishes including Oaxacan Red Chile Chicken and Salsa Verde Shrimp Enchiladas Suizas. Served alongside freshly made salsas and guacamole, this exciting new restaurant features an open kitchen and serves up a contemporary Mexican dining experience. There is also a quick-service taco counter for grab and go meal.

New at the Magic Kingdom is a Disney pin trading scavenger hunt. This Disney PinQuest showcases Steampunk inspired artwork. Frontier Trading Post in Frontierland or Curtain Call Collectibles on Main Street, U.S.A. will have adventure kits available for purchase. This fun for the whole family activity is only offered in the Magic Kingdom and just for a limited time.

Now, let’s take a little photo safari to Disney’s Animal Kingdom at sunset.

Tiffins is now open and while it is expensive, it is receiving great reviews. — Tiffins is now open. While the new sit down restaurant is expensive, it is also receiving great reviews.

Nomad Lounge is also open and provides a nice place to relax and have a drink.

There are a bunch of new Pandora advertisements on the construction walls.

The Jungle Book show is also taking place multiple times a night on the water near Everest. — The temporary Jungle Book show is also taking place multiple times a night on the lagoon near Everest.

Kilimanjaro Safaris stays open late now. It had a 50 minute wait this weekend! It is nearly impossible to photograph due to the new lighting though.

The Hollywood Studios fireworks go off right over Everest if you stand on the bridge to Harambe.

This is just a glimpse at how the Tree of Life looks at night.

Kali River Rapids is open in the evenings now, and the queue is extremely dark. Lots of fun to explore!

Kali will also be testing a single rider option soon.

The park also clears out quickly, so about 30 minutes after close, you can get nice shots like this.
