Max returns with a glorious update from Disneyland Paris, where Big Thunder Mountain has reopened after more than a year long refurbishment. – DLPwelcome
Big Thunder Mountain has finally reopened at Disneyland Paris and brings with it a revitalized Frontierland. Great news and photos follow.
After an epic 13 month refurbishment Deputy CEO of Disneyland Parks, Daniel Delcourt, welcomes guests back to Frontierland. Mickey and Minnie Mouse accompany Mr. Delcourt in the cutting of the Ribbon symbolizing the reopening of Frontierland’s main attraction.
The great news is that all the props, animated or not, are back, looking great and in fully working order. And the adventure is more epic than ever due to the explosive new ending.
For the reopening, we were among the first to experience for the wildest ride in the wilderness! We were also given a Thunder Mesa newspaper to mark the occasion.
The tanks of CO² for the smoke effects inside the attraction are now hidden behind a new hut. It looks like it was always there.
Next we go to the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing for a cruise on the river of the Far West.
Here too, the efforts were considerable. All has have been redone, work on the geysers is stunning. What to say … grandiose? Amazing? We can’t say enough about the wonderful the return of effects which have been missing for more than a decade.
Finally, to finish our visit to Frontierland, we offer a video of the geysers of the Riverboat Landing and the atmosphere of the Land!
After all the excitement, it’s time for lunch at the new Vapiano in Disney Village.
Thank you for joining us on our grand adventure in Frontierland. We’ll be back with a full park update soon. See you soon!
