Just as the 2017 set of Star Wars Day at Sea cruises currently embark on the Disney Fantasy, the Disney Cruise Line announces that the popular theme sailings will be reprised in 2018 as well. From January through April, another 15 voyages will head to a galaxy far, far away via the Caribbean, and onboard will be Jedi, Wookiees, droids, Stormtroopers and you, dressed in your best Star Wars gear and costumes.

“The Force is stronger than ever onboard the Disney Fantasy, and we are excited to bring back Star Wars Day at Sea in 2018,” said Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line. “The popularity of the event over the past two years inspired us to continue immersing our guests in the Star Wars galaxy. Everyone, from the youngest Padawan to the most knowledgeable Jedi Master, is invited to enjoy this event of galactic proportions and make memories that will last a lifetime.”

The sailings will showcase a special day dedicated to all things Star Wars including new favorites such as photo meet-and-greets with Captain Phasma, Boba Fett, Chewbacca and R2-D2 and C-3PO; a celebration of Star Wars guest cosplay and screenings of franchise films and television shows including not only Star Wars Rebels and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story but also Star Wars: Episode VIII by 2018. Treats will also extend to themed food and beverage items as well as exclusive merchandise.

Children specifically will enjoy the chance to face Darth Vader face to face in a lightsaber duel during Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple and participate in tamer arts and crafts, games and other activities; and families will be able to test their Star Wars knowledge during trivia sessions. The day will lightspeed to a grand crescendo deck party with games, music and dancing before a dazzling fireworks show accompanied by characters, pyrotechnics, stunts, special effects and none other than John Williams’ signature score.
