Following recent updates made to the Disney Dream, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, Disney Cruise Line is set to next enhance the Disney Fantasy for May 2017. The newest ship in the fleet will receive kids club improvements from the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, the pool deck will get a new ice cream and candy shop and the retail corridor an exclusive jewelry store. Once the entire fleet is upgraded, next to look forward to will be the pair of new ships set to come online in 2021 and 2023.

In the meantime, Disney’s Oceaneer Club on the Fantasy will see its own Star Wars space like the Dream did but with an all new theme. Here kids will train with characters from the films as they take on missions against the First Order. A holotable will even three-dimensionally project holographic models of the Millennium Falcon, Death Star and other spaceships. The Force will be channeled among members of the Resistance in the cool vine-strewn venue.

First introduced on the Magic and Wonder, Marvel Super Hero Academy is also set to be installed on the Fantasy, this time themed to Doctor Strange and the mystic arts. In fact, the doctor will make his first appearance at sea onboard, even before Marvel Day at Sea on the Magic in the fall. Gaming experiences will extend to portals into the Marvel Universe while children learn the values of enlightenment, worthiness and loyalty from superheroes to become heroes themselves.

Something for the whole family to enjoy will be the new Sweet on You ice cream shop coming poolside, likely replacing the video arcade as on the Dream. Gelato and ice cream, specialty sundaes, chocolates, truffles and other candy will be sold in a setting themed to Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts.

Lastly, Tiffany & Co. will come aboard as an exclusive jewelry store selling the Tiffany T collection and signature diamond pieces. The luxury retail shop will effectively be a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for adults to indulge in. Otherwise, the Fantasy will receive regularly scheduled refurbishments to maintain its operational excellence.

Disney Cruise Line will relaunch the Disney Fantasy on May 17, 2017 from Port Canaveral, Florida on a 3-night sailing to the Bahamas before resuming its year-round 7-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
