Adventures by Disney is continuing its partnership with AmaWaterways into 2018 with special themed river cruises ranging from Beauty and the Beast to Oktoberfest, ensuring that there are things for both kids and adults to enjoy while sailing.

Beauty and the Beast

The Rhine river will be the setting for Beauty and the Beast journeys in Europe aboard the AmaKristina traveling to FranceSwitzerlandGermany, and the Netherlands. Adventures will include toboggan riding, Black Forest hiking, Heidelberg Castle exploring, and wine sampling during 8-day/7-night trips.

Specific to the animated and live-action films, guests will witness the sights and sounds that inspired the moviemaking such as Riquewihr’s French village akin to Belle’s own. Onboard will be a Beauty and the Beast themed dinner as well as screenings of the classic animated film and most recent incarnation. In total, there will be six such sailings scheduled in 2018.

Food and Wine

What’s more, there will be twice as many food and wine themed Rhine river cruises in 2018 including two in the fall. The adults-only voyages will be hosted by renowned chefs and sommeliers with special experiences onboard and off like wine tasting, demos and workshops, culinary tours, a French patisserie course, regional beer and wine pairings and cocktail blending seminars. As you might surmise, the sailings were inspired by the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

Also, along the Danube, there will be another six sailings on the AmaViola in 2018 encompassing summer and holiday seasons. A new adult-exclusive one will celebrate Oktoberfest in September, heading to Germany and commemorating with parties and culinary experience onboard and shoreside. Altogether, the 8-day/7-night outings will stop at GermanyAustriaSlovakia, and Hungary. For other film lovers, The Sound of Music will be featured in Salzburg as well as Devin Castle in Bratislava and Austrian folk dancing in Melk.
