Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This week, we’re heading to the Magic Kingdom to take in the sights and see what is happening in the park. Let’s go!

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!
Follow the bushes to the new bag check area at the Ticket and Transportation Center!

Barely anyone uses this path near the entrance anymore since there is no more bag check for guests getting off the monorail.
Really great to see this area be wide open again with no metal detectors.
Hopefully these old screening stations will soon get taken down as well.
These views are great to have back!

The scrims at Emporium came down for the British TV show taping, but are back up now.

Roy and Minnie have been missing for quite some time.
More Emporium scrims.

No standing. Right here. Just in this spot.

Sunshine Tree Terrace is getting a facelift.
Don’t worry, you can still get your Citrus Swirl.

Big rumor came out this week that with The Rock’s new Jungle Cruise movie coming that the ride would be redesigned by him as well.
As of right now, Disney is denying any change to the ride. Stay tuned for more info.

Only need the clock face on the side most guests walk by, apparently.
Tortuga Tavern was open but not serving its normal menu.

Hall of Presidents is still closed for renovation.
Would you be interested in a Haunted Mansion themed restaurant at the Magic Kingdom? The OC Register gives the rumor some credibility.

The Carousel is closed for refurbishment.
Scrims up at Sir Mickey’s.

The other side of the scrims.

Other rumors suggest that the Tomorrowland Speedway is a perfect plot of land for a Tron clone from Shanghai. Hmm.
The Tomorrowland stage is being changed up.
New Force For Change charity Star Wars: The Last Jedi shirts are available in Tomorrowland.

Rey’s new look for the film.

We were treated to a beautiful Magic Kingdom sunset!
