Mousetalgia: Mike Van Eaton back to the show to discuss his newest upcoming Disneyland auction featuring a controversial piece: A presentation map of Disneyland hand-inked by Herb Ryman, purported to have been used by Roy Disney to sell the idea of Disneyland to ABC in 1953. While the item made national news with misleading headlines, Mike tells the story in his own words of how he came to discover this incredible piece of Disneyland. Next, we welcome author James Bohn to the show to talk about his new book, “Music in Disney’s Animated Features: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to The Jungle Book.” We talk about the amazing appeal of Disney songs, the theory behind the music, and some of the stories Bohn includes in his book. The Season Pass: Keith James has a fascinating history in the themed entertainment industry. To be honest, I had not heard of Mr. James before I listened to this latest episode. In my opinion, one of the best parts about The Season Pass Podcast is the discovery that lies within its archives. Among the hours and hours of content you will always find that new story that you have never heard before. Mr. James started as a stage manager in the early development of King’s Island. His career has taken him through numerous incredible projects. A few of these have included Carowinds, Canada’s Wonderland, Legoland Windsor, Australia’s Wonderland (Later known as Wonderland Sydney), Universal Orlando Resort, and many more spectacular venues.
