Disneyland may be getting all the attention this week with the return of the River and the roll out of MaxPass, but there’s a lot going on at DCA as well. The recent D23 Expo confirmed the long discussed MiceAge rumors about Marvel coming to the park. Dsny Debbie and crew are on the scene to take us on a California Adventure. . .

Goodbye Bugsland

Enjoy this walk through Bugsland. We believe that this entire area will soon become Marvel Land.

The slow moving Tuck and Roll bumper cars would likely be removed entirely .

Some of the other attractions might be rethemed to Marvel, or removed and replaced with shops and place-making.

Finding a 4-leaf clover is good luck.

Insert bugs sounds here Chirp Chirp

Tough to be a Bug is rumored to give way to a new family friendly dark ride.

Smoking Areas

There is a sign at Paradise Pier that designates the smoking area has moved.

Around the Park

Mickey and Friends Parking Structure Maintenance

Certain areas of the parking structure are being resurfaced to remove slick tiles.

The replacement brick isn’t as colorful or color-coded as the old tile, but it does look nice.

Downtown Disney Construction

Splitsville construction is progressing. It’s supposed to open this winter. Do you think they’ll be open by Christmas?

Star Wars Land Construction

It’s been so interesting to watch the Star Wars Land construction. Disneyland cast members were able to sign a steel beam which will be installed at the highest point in the land.  What a neat thing to do for Disney’s crew.

It’s interesting to note that the far North end of the building is multi-story with a clear floor in the middle. However, the far South end of the building has an enormous atrium with what appears to be angled structure for screens.
