SeaWorld Orlando is swimming right through the Winter season. While they are currently in the middle of construction on next Summer’s major attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguins, they are also in the midst of holiday celebrations.
ANTARCTICA EMPIRE OF THE PENGUINS CONSTRUCTION
We return to the frigid reaches of Orlando to look at the most recent progress made at the site of SeaWorld’s new Penguin attraction. Detailed rock work and icy glaciers have begun to form at one of the entrances to the area.
PARK PRESIDENT GOES FOR A WALK
Park President, Terry Prather, was out and about in the park this week. It’s always encouraging to see the suits walking around and mingling with the paying guests. In the case of Terry, he was out picking up bits of trash, helping guests take pictures and basically helping out when needed. Great job sir!
SHAMU CHRISTMAS… MIRACLES
SeaWorld knows how to put on great Holiday shows, and Shamu Christmas Miracles gets you right into the holiday spirit with a jazz saxophonist playing during the preshow.
With Orcas, lights, fountains, and a sound track that even the meanest Grinch couldn’t help but clap along to, Shamu’s Christmas show really is something the whole family will enjoy. While the show tells the story of the first Christmas and Santa Clause, this is really about the Orcas and Christmas music!
Shamu is sure to get you into a festive mood.
SEA OF TREES
Imagine trees floating on water in an endless calm sea. Now imagine the trees glowing in brilliant colors and patterns and you have the spectacle known as the Sea of Trees. This lovely display offers a breathtaking, yet serene, option to holiday revelers as Sea World uses the bright, programmed LED lit trees to light up the water ways in the park. Don’t miss this. It’s beautiful.
When you think Christmas, SeaWorld may not be the first place that comes to mind, but they sure to put a lot of heart into it. Give it a try and let us know if you felt the magic like we did.
