Amid the glitz and glamor of Hollywood in its golden age comes a vintage tinsel town Christmas. Let’s check out the holiday decor at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and take a look at some of the current news from one of Disney’s smallest parks.

Welcome to the Studios!
Gondola supports rising just outside the park near the parking lot. The Gondolas will take guests from the Caribbean Beach Resort to the Studios and the back of Epcot.  Neat!
The entrance is all decked out for the holidays.
Garland up on Hollywood Blvd. I love the old school look of it.
Themed garland. Those are old cameras used as decoration.
Dancing Minnie ornaments in the window. They actually kick.
The park’s Christmas tree has moved into the center of Echo Lake and is beautiful!
Some fun retro-looking decor on Echo Lake as well.

The lake has been decorated with lots of ornaments.

Even the umbrellas!
There are reindeer statues over on the Indy side of the lake as well.
CMs have been told internally to expect a May-June 2019 opening for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Here’s what is currently happening at Walt Disney Presents. Expect Star Lord to get the boot early 2018 to make room for Black Panther.
View of Galaxy’s Edge progress from Pixar Place.
Only 3 weeks until Episode VIII arrives! Is it a must see for you?

The stars are out on Sunset Blvd (the street which leads to Tower of Terror). This area is now one of the main holiday spots in the park, with projections on the Tower of Terror, and snow falling.

Dusty caught some video of the new “Sunset Seasons Greetings” show on the Tower of Terror during the MiceChat WDW Invasion. It is actually multiple shows which go off every 10 minutes or so. Here’s two of those shows:

Santa is greeting at Once Upon a Time.

Art Deco Christmas.

More of Galaxy’s Edge rising.

This will be the main entrance to Star Wars land, and looks to be a tunnel that sweeps to the right.
Piggy stands above a box as the fountain is covered for refurbishment.

The buildings for the rides in Galaxy’s Edge continue to push closer and closer to parts of the park that guests are currently using.

The gift shop across from PizzeRizzo has been cut in half and one entrance is now closed.

Star Tours launched a couple new ride profiles this past week, featuring Crait from Episode VIII and a landing at Batuu, the planet you’ll visit at Galaxy’s Edge. The new profile is really well done, and features lots of characters from the new trilogy.

Time to head out!

That does it for this week. How do you all feel about the holiday changes at this park? does a projection show on the Tower of Terror make up for the loss of the Osborn Lights? Let us knows in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
