March is certainly coming in like a lion, if these cold breezes keep up. Thank goodness we all look so fetching in sweaters, right Dusty? It’ll be worth it to brave the frigid 50 and 60 degree weather to get to Disneyland and Disney Californa Adventure this coming weekend! You’ll have Mother’s Day wrapped up nice and early! PLUS Food & Wine Fest! It’s the most! Wonderful time! Of the Yeaaaaar…..!

For those of you who can’t make it to Disneyland this weekend, you can always curl up with a good book or video!

Disney’s Lady and the Tramp Signature Collection

, Fab News: The Art and The Deals

The DVD Blu-Ray hits shelves today! I know I told you about this on February 16, but really, this is a gem of a collection, just for the Inside Walt’s Office/Story Meetings stuff.

As are all of the Signature Collections, this is beautiful, the extras are ones that Disney fans and history buffs actually care about and find interesting, and YES, it’s worth buying even if you bought the last release, which I did, but would still buy this one.

Thor: Ragnarok

I loved this movie. Alice loved this movie. Noe liked this movie. Hulk wasn’t exactly the way he liked him in the comics. What can I say, he’s a purist. I, on the other hand, think that Mark Ruffalo is the perfect Hulk. He is MY Hulk. You can watch it at Amazon here and help a gal out, or it’s everywhere else but your doctor’s office on March 6th. It might be there, too. I want Taika Waititi to direct many, many Marvel films in the future. And be revolutionary warriors in them as well. Alice wants more Jeff Goldblum. In Everything. While I hated seeing Thor get his hair cut, it was funny as hell how it happened. And now that line in Avengers about “courting death” that got Thanos all happy makes perfect sense. Who’s getting on that ship? I am! Toot-toooooot! Their kids would look just like Thor and Loki. Right?

The Star Wars Cookbook: BB-ATE

The nice folks at Chronicle Books (They Drew As They Pleased; The Art of COCO) have a delicious new book out with a delightfully awful title: “The Star Wars Cookbook: BB-ATE“. It’s by Lara Starr, the author of Wookiee Pies, Clone Scones, and Other Galactic Goodies and Ice Sabers and Matthew Carden, who photographed all of the above works. Culinary masterpieces include Admiral Ackbars and Han Soloatmeal.

NISSAN Makes Show LEAFs for
A Wrinkle in Time

Ever since I was a little thing and my Nanny took us to see the Cars of the Stars traveling exhibition (Herbie the Love Bug was there!) I’ve been a sucker for a cool Show Car. These are no exception. One of them is heat-sensitive and reacts when you come near it! (Like most show cars, not for sale, unfortunately.)

The Mrs. Whatsit customized Nissan LEAF uses design elements inspired by her bright red hair and her dream-like white ruffled gown.

The Mrs. Who customized Nissan LEAF is wrapped in materials inspired by her gown, hair and jewelry. Along the roof and front of the vehicle is a beautiful red floral pattern, like the top half of Mrs. Who’s gown. The rear 3/4 of the vehicle uses the same ruffled blue pattern of her floor-length skirt.

The Mrs. Which customized Nissan LEAF leverages lavish design elements found in the metallic materials of her gown and chrome bustle skirt. The Mrs. Which Nissan LEAF is also outfitted with a screen in the rear, capable of playing video.

The three completely custom show vehicles (not available for purchase) were created by legendary Hollywood vehicle fabricators at Vehicle Effects in Burbank, Calif. Nissan also partnered with Vehicle Effects to create the seven dramatic “Star Wars: The Last Jedi’-inspired show vehicles last November.

Drawing on the existing aggressive design language of the Maxima, this show vehicle is transformed into a truly sinister sedan. Designers merged Kylo Ren’s unmistakable black and silver facemask with the Maxima’s V-motion design language using a single block of milled aluminum for the front of the 4-Door Sports Car. A custom front lower spoiler, impactful hood and body are coated to exacting character color-matching specifications. The project is completed with a set of red signature headlights and underbody lighting that pulse at random – similar to Kylo Ren’s crossguard lightsaber.

My NISSAN Leaf is Ben Solo, because he’s light on the outside and dark on the inside.

Well, that’s about all that I can think of. What’s going on with you? No, tell me. I really want to know. What are your recommendations for a good movie, binge series (I just finished Grace and Frankie and Call the Midwife) or book? Does anyone else love reading cookbooks or am I a complete weirdo? How many times do you watch the extras on a Blu-ray? Noe and I do over and over. Some of our friends do once, then never again. Why? Anyway, I hope to have some Star Wars News later this week!
