Friday's photo tour of Disneyland: Miley Cyrus sweet 16 party, Tinkerbell's Teapot, the new Fortuosity Shop on Main Street USA, paving and construction at Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland, and lot's of wonderful pictures of what's new at the Disneyland Resort.
Miley Cyrus had a blowout birthday Party at Disneyland on Sunday. The park was closed to day guests by 5pm and converted into a purple party palace for Ms. Cyrus. At midnight, many local residents in Orange County were awakened by Miley's birthday fireworks.
Tinkerbelle's new home continues its speedy construction. She'll be living in a giant teapot located next to the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters attraction at Disneyland. Throughout Tomorrowland and New Orleans Square, pavement and pavers are being torn up and replaced. On Main Street, a new shop has replaced the former New Century Time Pieces shop which was a favorite amoung fans. The new shop is a fresh addition to the street and richly designed. Be sure to catch Andy Castro's detailed description and photos.

Every week, hundreds of stories, news items, and tips swirl around the discussion boards about Disney, Theme Parks, and Family Travel. Lucky for all of us, MiceChat puts the essential information in one convenient place every Wednesday morning.
This is your last chances to register for the MiceChat Walt Disney World Gumball Rally on October 18th. 4 magic parks, one amazing quest, sign up for the Gumball Rally Today [1].
We feature a trip report from SummerInFl at Disney World today, a fun romp through the park with friends. And we let you know about the brand new Fortuosity Shop on Main Street USA at Disneyland In California. Jack and Sally have arrived at the Disneyland Resort for their Halloween through Christmas haunting of the park. Reader g3311r shares some great video of the Remember fireworks.
It was a big week for MiceChat. Over the last weekend, nearly 100 folks joined us for the Disneyland Gay Days weekend. And while two full days at the Theme Parks is always exhusting, it was also a VERY fun time. Multiple trip reports are already on MiceChat so you can share in all the excitement. And while we were celebrating with the queens, Miley Cyrus was celebrating her Sweet Sixteen. Ttrocc70 gives us the details of Miley's purple party at Disneyland and what those of us who didn't pay $250 missed.
Weekend Update [2] contributor, TDLFAN, shares photos of Tokyo Disneyland at Halloween time. But it isn't all about Disney this week. We have reviews of Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and the Haunted Queen Mary Shipwreck.
And as always, there are many more discussions to be explored. Read the entire MiceChat Weekly Roundup of Disney and Theme Park news HERE. [3]

A slew of small attractions are headed to the Disneyland Resort, they are scheduled to begin arriving this month and will add entertainment, characters, the return of a long closed attraction, and a peak at the future.
High School Musical 3 rolling performance stage will be coming to the Disneyland Resort on October 24th. It replaces the High School Musical 1 and 2 version of the same show at California Adventure.
Pixie Hollow is set for an October 28th opening, but much construction and landscaping is left to be done to meet this date.
The new Disney's California Adventure (DCA) Preview Center, officially called the Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar, will open in the former spot of the Seasons of the Vine in DCA on October 20th.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-through has a flexible "Mid-December" opening date. The new version of the Castle Walk-through will feature a return to the original look of the attraction using modern Imagineering technology to enhance the effects.
Small World Holiday returns on November 21st after a long closure. The beloved attraction has been the subject of news and speculation as the attraction's flume and boats needed to be rebuilt to handle the heavier nature of today's park guests. It is also rumored (by Al Lutz of MiceAge.com [1]) "the small world refurbishment project was driven by a clearly stated desire to allow today's lower riding boats to travel easier through the ride. The old flume from the World's Fair is being gutted, and a new flume conveniently designed to be one inch deeper will contain a new fleet of purposely lighter boats that ride up to an inch higher in the water. Those extra two inches of clearance will allow for several hundred more pounds of weight in each boat, keeping the churro loving tourists of today sailing through the ride just as easily as their lighter predecessors did back in the 1960's."
There are lots of additional changes and operational updates to report today, including Miley's Sweet 16 birthday party. Read the entire Monday in the Parks weekly update of News and Tips for the attractions in Southern California HERE [2]

Pumpkin time at Disneyland. Pumpkins all over Main Street from the entry gates to the light posts, its pumpkin city. In Frontierland, there are fresh carved pumpkins and pumpkin men. Haunted Mansion Holiday is back, and has transformed the Mansion inside and out with imagery inspired by the Nightmare Before Christmas.
The tribute to Dia De Los Muertos (the Mexican day of the dead) in Frontierland is also back this year. So is Candycorn Acres at Disney's California Adventure. For the most part, this year's celebration is a slightly stale version of last year's. Not much new, but still fun and enjoyable.
But Halloween isn't the only game in town. Construction is going fast and furious on the former Little Mermaid Meet and Greet grotto at Disney to convert it in to Pixie Hollow, a meet and greet for Tinkerbell and friends. While the lagoon and rocks remain, a round structure is being constructed in the spot that the kids will meet tink. Elsewhere in the park, pavement is being torn up and replaced. And the former McDonalds fry cart in Fantasyland has been completely removed and the area will soon return to its pre-grease glory
As always, Andy Castro of MiceChat's Dateline Disneyland Blog provides us with tons of amazing shots, not just of the park and attractions, but also of new merchandise and food. Lots of yummy treads have made their way into the parks, including pumpkin fudge, pumpkin spiced latte, Mickey pumpkin head cookies, spiced carmel apple cider, and more.

Disney has announced a series of motion pictures at a mega press blow-out at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
Of interest is a motion capture version of Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton. Depp will also star in a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Also to be produced in Motion Capture (A style of animation which uses real human motion as the base of the animation) is a new version of A Christmas Carol by Robert Zemekis to be released for holiday '09.
Jerry Bruckheimer is working on another sequel of the popular National Treasure series as well as a new version of The Lone Ranger, which is long overdue for a remake.
On the animation front, Bolt, is scheduled for a November release and was screened in its current incomplete state for the media. This is usually a very good sign. Studios are reluctant to screen anything in incomplete status unless the bones are very strong.
Cars 2 has been moved up to a 2011 release and a series of short animated features, called "Cars Toons", will roll out on the Disney Channel. And the much anticipated Toy Story 3 (which was much cause of debate between Pixar and Disney prior to the merger) is set for a June 2010 release.
Many films are also to be released in 3D (16 in all) some of which will be rereleases of previous films - including Toy Story and Toy Story 2. If all of these numbers have your head hurting, don't worry, we won't fault you for mixing up your 2s, 3s, and 4s.
For detailed information on the spectacular press event and additional movies coming soon from Walt Disney Pictures please vist our friends at O-Meon.com [1].

Topics have turned to the spooky side of life on MiceChat. As we usher in October, the MiceEars crew has assembled a great listing of top Disney, Theme Park, and Vacation topics, rumors, news, and events for us all to enjoy.
Dark, wet, creepy, a tour of the Paris catacombs [1] are a great way for us to kick off Halloween month. Over 40 MiceChatters kicked off Halloween last weekend with a trip to Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt. Don't miss all the foggy fun in the Fishbulb and PirateMunkee trip reports from the big event. And if you are looking or something a little less scary, the boards are filled with trip reports of the theme parks world wide in their Halloween finest.
There is also a lot of news and information being discussed this week. Disney's California Adventure's new preview center is about to open and gets an official name "Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar." Pleasure Island's clubs have closed, but most of the sadness is reserved for the legendary Adventurers Club which was amazing in its detail, theme, entertainment, and comedy. There were many MiceChatters in attendance for the final kungaloosh. We can only hope that Disney finds a new home for the club very soon, it would be a shame for such a beloved and unique attraction to be lost forever.
But the Adventurers Club wasn't the only thing we lost this week. Paul Newman, great actor and humanitarian, passed away this week. Hard Rock Park has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
There are also some great trip reports and news from the off-shore parks this week. Lots of great pictures of the Halloween decorations in Paris. Trip reports and merchandise in Hong Kong. And another amazing trip report of the Tokyo Disneyland resort.
Don't miss what is sure to be a fun MiceChat meet this Saturday for Disneyland's Gay Days - all of our meets and events are always listed in MiceChat's "Meets and Events [2]" section.
And we wrap up today's update with a heartfelt congratulations to MiceChatters LuvsLilo and MiceChat Roundup co-Editor Hollywood1939 on the birth of their twin daughters. We are a very proud family of chatters and are thrilled to welcome our newest MiceBabies.
As always, the roundup contains many more items that we have room to print here. Catch the entire MiceChat Weekly Roundup of Disney, Theme Park, and Vacation news, information, rumors, and pictures HERE [3].
