This morning's Fantasmic dragon press event was canceled at the last minute - perhaps because of the fires in LA and perhaps because of little interest from the media. However, video has leaked out online. We'll attempt to update you on what this means for tonight's performances of the show if possible. However, the dragon may be held until another press event can be scheduled. Also, we have lots of news, photos, and updates from the resort. Halloween is quickly being added to the stores and window displays. Grand Californian construction is nearly complete and we've got the photos. New construction in Fantasyland near Fantasia Gardens. And much, much more.

The weekend is practically here and we've got a lot of news and photos to share. Looks like Murphy, the Fantasmic dragon, will remain reluctant this weekend. Captain EO is also proving to be a bit reluctant, but there is still good news. As summer finally comes to a close at the Disneyland Resort, attention is laser focused on the Fantasmic dragon. We've got everything you want to know . . . and then some. Elsewhere in Disneyland the beloved corn dogs of Main Street seem to have taken a trip through Inner Space and have been managerially miniaturized. The D23 Expo full schedule of events has been announced - time to start making plans. Al Lutz dishes the dirt on new attractions, fancy refurbishments, dragon drama, and the Hat Box Ghost! Wonderful Wanda Woman enters the Enchanted Forest and survives. Photos, trip reports, news, and new merchandise in the Disney parks around the world. The kids are heading back to school, Disneyland's Summer Nightastic promotion is wrapping up, and soon the resort will transition to Fall-Halloween decor. Despite images on park maps, billboards, and banners all summer long, the now infamous Fantasmic dragon never made an appearance. It remains in "Any day now" status. But a missing dragon didn't make a dent in Disneyland's attendance as huge crowds flocked to the Resort for one last day of fun before school starts. Over at Disney's California Adventure, progress on World of Color is obvious almost everywhere. Finishing details are being placed on rock work, and big equipment is being placed in the lagoon. Carsland and Little Mermaid construction is also progressing. And the Grand Californian prepares to open its new wing next month. We have all of the photos and news for your here.

Lots of news today from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California and beyond. Disneyland begins charging for tomatoes on burgers at Hungry Bear restaurant (that McDonalds on Harbor Blvd. is looking better and better). The parks are packed, resulting in remote lot parking. The Buzz Lightyear lot, located in the former strawberry fields, has been in regular use this week and is slated for a surface expansion. Fantasmic has been extended through the end of the year, but will we ever see the dragon? Plus, park news, construction photos from around the resort, and tips regarding when it will be busy.

Beautiful Nemo inspired Nautilus submarines once plied the waters of Fantasyland in Walt Disney World. From 1971 until September of 1994, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea delighted and terrified guests of all ages. Though the attraction has long since been closed (its tank filled in with dirt), it has never been forgotten. Join us as we take a look back at this grand old ride and remember it again in wonderful stories, photos, and videos!

The end of Summer mega-crowds have arrived at Disneyland in Anaheim, California as annual passholders have finally been un-blocked. They certainly make an impact on park attendance. We also report on the on-going construction in Disney's California Adventure park with World of Color making big progress, a resturant returns in a new location, as well as work in the Main Entrance Plaza between the parks. Lots of news, stories, photos, and thoughts about the Haunted Mansion at 40 years old - it's still a creeptacular experience. Plus, new travel discounts, lots of photos, new Downtown Disney store on the way, and much more.

Weekend Update peeks into the summer scrapbook and comes up with this amazing report from all corners of the Disney globe. Things get wet at Tokyo Disneyland as the repeatedly drench the crowd in tons of water, on purpose! At Disney World's Polynesian Resort life is relaxed and luxurious. Disneyland Paris was built to be the ideal Disney park and we look for the signs of proof. And just to show the other side of the coin, we finish with photos from a much more careless than carefree Orange County Fair - if you've got the stomach and the nerve for it. Don't miss out on one of the real gems of MiceChat, the Weekend Update!
