Many Mice Chat readers are fans of Roller Coaster Tycoon and are eagerly following the development of Theme Park Studios by Pantera Entertainment (check out my update from March). The roller coaster simulator is scheduled for release in Fall 2013 and Pantera Entertainment has released some more screenshots and some pretty cool Kickstarter information.
Now’s your chance to help make theme park history!
Kickstarter is a resource for helping creative companies crowd fund various projects. Pantera Entertainment has started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the development of Theme Park Studio. The base level is set at $80,000 and needs to be completed by May 20, 2013.
So, why should we help fund Theme Park Studio through Kickstarter?
- Funding the project will expand the flat ride, train, and environment object libraries. It will offer even more fun when the game’s released!
- The target ship date is September 15. Adequate funding would allow them to finish on time and not have to push the date back.
- Increased funding would allow the creation of a boxed edition of the game for sale in retail stores.
- This also means that more time and effort could be spent on marketing. Ultimately this means that a larger user base would be able to create and share more custom rides!
If you give more than $20.00 you will receive a copy of the game and there are some pretty amazing incentives for larger donations (don’t you want to be part of the Theme Park Wrap Party at Disneyland?).
They’ve also outlined some stretch goals (additional funds beyond the $80,000) that will lead to a version for the Mac and in-game options for money and park management!
Head on over to the Ultimate Theme Park Studio Kickstarter page and pledge your support!
They’ve also released some screen images of the new wooden roller coaster. It looks pretty spectacular.
Are you excited about Theme Park Studio? Are you going to pledge funds to the Kickstarter?
