Hard to believe that we are already on episode 4 of the Unofficial SeaWorld Podcast! We have a lot of news this month, including animal rescues as the West Coast’s sea lion emergency continues with record rescues.
We bring you coverage of SeaWorld’s recent successful launch onto the New York Stock Exchange, with commentary from SeaWorld CEO James Atchison. Viva La Musica is an annual celebration at SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, that celebrates Latin American culture! With authentic food, amazing live music, and SeaWorld Characters dressed for the occasion, this festival has become a Central Florida staple.

Clyde and Seymour get some updates
Over at the Sea Lion Stadium Clyde and Seymour’s show has gotten some TLC. With new sales on their Pirate ship, repainted background flats and some old effects like mist, and water jets now working again. SeaWorld is getting its park in tip top shape, when massive crowds descend on the park this summer to experience Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin!
Antarctica very early reviews
We have been given some information about the Antarctica attraction. SeaWorld is being very tight lipped about this expansion, and therefore we are relying on our spies to feed us information! What we have learned is that this ride will have an hourly capacity around 1600. And that a majority of the experience will be film based. However, due to the trackless nature of the ride, it will be thrilling as your vehicles slide on the ice and you experience “close calls.” People will be dazzled and delighted by the way light interacts with the glaciers SeaWorld has created. We are counting down to May 24th, 2013 for the Grand Opening of Antarctica.
