Welcome back to another fun-filled, information-packed Disney and Theme park news round up! This week, we round up all sorts of hot new attractions that have just opened for summer 2013 or which have just been announced for 2014. Falcon’s Fury was announced for Busch Gardens Tampa, Despicable Me and Super SIlly Fun Land are coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, and SeaWorld will be celebrating for 18 months to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its San Diego park. We also have news from Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disneyland and much much more. Let’s round things up!
Yesterday was a very busy news day for the MiceChat crew. Three theme parks announced attractions for next year.
Universal Hollywood Officially Announces Despicable Me and Super Silly Fun Land
Even though MiceChat readers have known about it for quite some time, Universal Studios Hollywood has just officially announced “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” is taking over the building vacated by the Terminator. This delightful 3D motion simulator adventure based on the hit film, Despicable Me, has been wowing crowds at Universal Orlando for almost a year. But there’s a little bit of extra whimsy which will be constructed next to the attraction which will truly delight the family audience.
Busch Gardens Tampa Announces Falcon’s Fury Drop Tower.
Busch Gardens Tampa “dropped” some big news today announcing the addition of the Falcon’s Fury drop tower attraction to their line-up of world class thrill rides. The ride will be the tallest free-standing drop tower ride in North America at a staggering 335 feet and have a unique twist that will make it the first of its kind.
SeaWorld Announces 50th Anniversary Celebration for 3 Parks.
SeaWorld hopes to make a splash with plans for its 50th anniversary in 2014. Promising a “Sea of Surprises,” all three SeaWorld parks (Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio) will be celebrating an 18 month anniversary blast. New shows, up-close animal encounters, entertainment and prizes will mark the occasion, along with a whole new entry complex for the park that started it all, SeaWorld San Diego.
