As summer kicks off in Orlando, it is time once again to experience SeaWorld Summer Nights. And this year, with Antarctica, and an explosive new ending to Shamu Rocks, we have a lot to share. Sit back, relax, and get ready to rock!
ANTARCTICA AT NIGHT
We have been covering Antarctica since ground broke 2 years ago. We fell in love with Antarctica when it opened. When Brian Morrow promised us that the ice would glow at night, we were not prepared for how gorgeous this area would be.
With some theatrical lighting, the acrylic and fiberglass ice glow and radiate light. It is stunning and surreal in person. My new favorite way to experience Antarctica is at night, followed by sunrise when you see the sun glow through the ice.
SHAMU ROCKS
We had heard rumors about fireworks coming to the end of Shamu Rocks, but we couldn’t really picture how they would be used. SeaWorld has historically held a firework show at the Bayside Stadium every summer. So, when the main fireworks were moved to the end of Shamu Rocks, we were very curious how guests would react.
Shamu Rocks kicks off with a roaring soundtrack that engages the audience. With the whales jumping and splashing, it is hard not to be completely absorbed into this show!
Halfway into the show, an electric guitarist comes out and starts riffing live, pumping up the audience even more. As the audience is cheering and dancing along to the music, fireworks start exploding into the sky behind the stadium, sending the audience into an almost frenzied state of cheering! It was truly an electric feeling that pictures and videos cannot capture. I was not prepared for how the audience would react and connect with the show with the fireworks at the end. It was electric!
It was clear by the sheer roar of the crowd that everyone enjoyed this new ending.
SEALIONS TONIGHT
Every year, the entertainment team puts together a hilarious lampoon of all the other shows and attractions that guests see in the park throughout the day.
This show is hilarious, and had the audience roaring at the end. Sea Lions tonight is reason enough to go to SeaWorld this summer!
With Antarctica and all the offerings for Summer Nights, you need to set aside an evening to experience SeaWorld after dark on your next visit to Orlando.
