I am disappointed that it’s taking so long for the mine train to be constructed. It seems to me from the size there is some concern that this ride might be too thrilling for the young kids. It might hit right in the middle, being too thrilling for the small ones but not thrilling enough for those who want a thrill ride. Teenagers who love thrill rides would be embarrassed to go to Fantasyland.

    Great report, Cory!

Teenagers are embarrassed by anything that penetrates their veneer of maturity and exposes their paranoia, I could care less what a teenager thinks of Fantasyland. Adults and kids eat it up.

We went as they were really hyping new fantasyland. Being regulars to California it was kinda anti climatic.

They need to get that mine train up and running. Then they should hype the whole new area.

New Fantasyland looks like the Frankenstein monster. To many non compatible theme’s makes it a mess and doesn’t compliment the homogenic Fantasyland. The mine train with it’s different style of facades will look very schizophrenic in the middle of it.
The mine train ride looks to be a nice coaster/dark ride hybrid with a very low capacity. Noting this is the only new worthwhile addition in a long time it’ll have huge lines with fastpasses being eaten up by hotel guests.
I’m going to wait visiting WDW until Disney has at least build 1 ride or show in each of their parks that I care for since I visited it 6 years ago.

I think New Fantasyland is a charming and cohesive area that echoes the idea of being inside a book of various fairy tales. I also think that the mine train will be a lovely edition regardless of the wait times and I don’t think it will be at all “schizophrenic.”

Fantasyland was very well themed and The mine train will compliment with the forest being an integral part of the entire area. I can hardly wait to see the land again in October.

        Great updates.

I’m REALLY psyched to see New Fantasyland as a whole! However, I can totally understand why the mine train is taking so long to complete because they are really stressing the details on this one.
