This week the TSPP team travels to Pasadena to talk with Phil Hettema (President/Creative Executive of the Hettema Group).  Phil discusses his beginnings in the Themed Entertainment World.   His career starts at Disneyland designing costumes, then to creating Universal Studios Hollywood’s Miami Vice Stunt Show, and moved into concept design for Universal’s Cartoon World, later changed to Islands of Adventure.  He also discusses the creation of the amazing 4-D attraction Beyond All Boundaries at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.  An amazing man with an inspirational story.  For Disney fans, Universal fans…ALL Theme Park Fans.

  1. Hello Doug,

I have been a listener to TSPP for about 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every episode I have listened to over that time. As being a fan of Roller coasters and Theme Parks it truly is enjoyable knowing the backstory and having the insider perspective, it makes my visits to parks that much more immersive. So just wanted to say Thank you to Brent, Robert and Yourself for the hours of entertainment and education you have provided your fans and myself over the years.I truly appreciate it.

    Thanks Ryan

  2. Guys, your show is always amazing. Just when I think I know everything there is to know about the parks, you prove to me that I really know nothing. There is a wealth of information to be learned about the folks who create the magic. Long live the Season Pass Podcast!

  3. Thank you so much for the feedback and the kind words. I’m glad that we can successfully bring the stories of the industry to you. That’s our goal and I’m honored that you guys appreciate the effort. Thanks again so much. ;)
