It’s been YEARS ince I’ve been to D-Land…and I have NEVER seen a photo of that little house with thatched roof next to the teacups. It is perfect! I don’t ever remember seeing it in person. Disneyland has fantastic details. You guys are fortunate.

Now, as for Frozen…..I’ve seen several scenes and trailers, and that little snowman is neither funny OR cute. Don’t know much about the film or premise, but if the scenes I’ve seen are some of his best, it didn’t create much of an eagerness for ME to get a ticket. Just an opinion. I’ve been wrong before.

What a great update Andy, the marvelous photos from around Fantasyland are gorgeous.

Dateline Disneyland, In the Parks, and Dateline Disneyworld are highlights of my blog reading week, and they are certainly the best weekly Disney Parks updates on the net, consistently bringing us terrific pictorial updates which is great for those of us so far away from the Parks. These updates have taught me MUCH about the Parks and their design and running, and given me a greater appreciation of them and their design. To you and the wonderful team at Micechat, Thank You!

As they are also redoing all of Big Thunders themed lighting, I hope they remove the 1930 goose neck gas station lights from over the entrance sign and put the kerosene Dietz Inspector lanterns back as they were for over 20 years since 1979. The same gas station lights are on the Grizzly entrance, but thats a more current a story theme.

I got to go to the Thor Meet and Greet and the movie screening on Sunday. It was by far the busiest day of the three available, as the wristbands were all distributed by 10:00 am, whereas on the other two days they lasted until at least noon. The displays for Thor were a little cheesy, but it’s a movie prop display, so there’s not a lot to do with it. The entry to the Asgardian throne room was dressed well, but the “tour guide” was still learning her lines, and stumbled once or twice. There’s some cheesy effects leading to the doors opening, then you see Thor. I’m 6’6″ tall, and I was at least two inches taller than he was. At least Thor had a sense of humor about things, as there were several people in my group wearing comic related items, and he acknowledged their “wearing the colors” of the characters he “knew”.

It was a fun experience, and definitely something they need to consider for Captain America when that comes out in April.
