FASTPASS+ Limits Options
In November and December, Disney is changing the way FASTPASS+ (FP+) is being distributed at Epcot. Previously, those staying at Disney hotels could make three reservations–any three for a given park (no parkhopping concept is baked in, at least not yet). But now they are being told they can only book ONE reservation for the tier 1 rides at Epcot, and the other two reservations must be tier 2 rides. Translation: the E-Ticket rides are being limited

Tim Grassey: What’s the Plus Side: Leveraging Next Gen
We have known for a really long time that getting our visitors to Walt Disney World to make decisions about where they spend their time before they leave home is a powerful driver of visits per guest. When they get into the Orlando market and their time isn’t yet planned, they can be subject to everything you see down there, which is a lot of in-city marketing for all the many products that people have put there to basically bleed off the feed that we fundamentally motivate. So if we can get people to plan their vacation before they leave home, we know that we get more time with them. We get a bigger share of their wallet. So that’s one thing for you guys to think about.

Disney Legend Tony Baxter receives his Window on Main Street
Who could have guessed in 1965 that Disneyland ice cream scooper Tony Baxter would one day have his own window on Main Street U.S.A.   A window is an honor only bestowed upon the most notable and influential of Imagineers and Disneyland leaders. Tony received his window above the Magic Shop on Main Street to celebrate the years of magic he has shared with others.

Tip of the Week

Handmade Candy Canes!

On only a few special days during the Christmas season, handmade candy canes are prepared at Candy Palace in Disneyland and now at Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure. Lines form for these popular treats VERY early, even before the parks actually open for the day. Numbers are distributed to those in line, once those numbers are passed out no more candy canes can be obtained for that day. The best part is watching Cast Members make the candy canes at the open air candy kitchens in the parks. It’s a unique holiday experience!

It’s a Small Glowing World.

During the Holiday Season at the Disneyland Resort, you will instantly notice the beautiful illuminated facade of ‘it’s a small world’ holiday. I would advise to slow down! View the beautiful wreaths on the polls around small world mall, each one is unique and inspired by parts of the attraction! Also, once it’s dark out, a special show is projected on the façade. This year’s projection show is being touted as all new. Christmas begins at the resort on November 11th this year.
