We dedicate this edition of the Round Up to Diane with extreme gratitude for all that she has done to preserve the Disney legacy. Osborne Lights Return-For the Last Time?
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights has returned to Disney Hollywood Studios, and it’s as impressive as ever. There is speculation (based on an insider leak?) that this may be its last year, the idea being that one of the upcoming expansions (Monsters? Star Wars? Could it be Cars Land? (None have yet been announced) will take the place of the entire cityscape. With nothing confirmed, we’re stuck hypothesizing. My bet is that, given the history of this display, it won’t “glow away forever” the way Epcot’s Lights of Winter did.

Hoopla Review and Fruitcake Follies
It was a crisp hazy morning in Anaheim when the MiceChat Holiday Hoopla kicked off at the ESPN Zone this past weekend. But what a success it was. Thankfully, that’s not the last of MiceChat’s holiday offerings. We’d like to invite you all to join us at the Fruitcake Follies in December!
Top Three Tips visiting Disneyland during the Holidays!
Visit on a rainy day. December is typically one of the wettest months in Southern California. If you have the option to be flexible on your visit, keep an eye on the weather report and make plans to visit on a rainy day. Make sure to bring your raincoat, poncho or umbrella with you and enjoy the empty parks.
As always, arrive early! With the option of magic mornings and generally getting to Disneyland Early. These times are the quietest at the Disneyland Resort. Get there when the park opens to maximize your time. In addition, visiting on days with the longest hours will help make it possible for your family to do it all. Check on the Disneyland website for daily operating hours.
Make an itinerary and stick to it. Yes, it is fun to just go with what fancies you, but this is not the time of year to do so. The more planned your visit is, the easier things will be on you and your family. Again, go to the Disneyland website and check the times of the shows, parades, etc. that you want to see and make a plan.
