Each year, Walt Disney World offers one of the prime attractions from the upcharge Very Merry Christmas Party to regular day guests with no special ticket needed. This only happens in the Christmas week itself (and shortly thereafter), and the parade is run in the daytime rather than at night. My present to you this year is a photo tour of that parade, without a longer commentary from me.

OK, one commentary after all. We noticed Santa calling out names as he made he way down the street. I assume he was just using common names and hoping to be right every so often, but it occurs to me that this would be a really neat use of MagicBands. Santa could call out your real names (and home cities)–adding substantially to the illusion.

I felt bad for the performers; it was 86 degrees when this parade was running, and some of those costumes looked hot!

And that’s our Christmas parade photo report for you from the Magic Kingdom. Wishing each of you a safe and wonderful holiday.
