It’s an incredible summer for theme park fans! Knott’s Berry Farm has unveiled their newly restored and re-imagined Calico Mine Ride, transforming the aging classic into a modern day marvel. Over at Disneyland, Frozen fans have a new opportunity to see their favorite Snow Queen in a new pre-parade on Main Street, U.S.A. On the other side of the country, Universal Orlando is in the middle of its big media preview of its sure-to-be incredible Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley expansion. Grand opening of a Knott’s Berry Farm classic: The Reimagined Calico Mine Ride
On Thursday, Knott’s Berry Farm officially reopened its classic Calico Mine Train after a major six-month renovation, restoration, and enhancement project. The top-to-bottom refurbishment included the addition of 46 new Audio-Animatronics figures along with dozens of new historically-accurate animals, the addition of new state-of-the-art lighting and special effects, restoration of the ride vehicles, and more. Today, we take a look at this newly re-imagined classic which now ranks among the best dark rides in Southern California.

New Frozen pre-parade leads the way as Club 33 expansion continues at Disneyland
Disneyland debuted its new Frozen-themed pre-parade Friday afternoon. The one-float offering features Princess Anna, Olaf and Queen Elsa on an icy, snow-covered parade float but Frozen fans might want to lower their expectations before heading to Disneyland to see the new offering. Meanwhile, work continues in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square as the major Club 33 expansion continues to bring notable changes to the area.
