Time to check in on what’s happening at Busch Gardens Tampa. The popular Summer Nights event returns to the park and we’ll take a look at the still in progress Falcon’s Fury.

Falcon’s Fury Closer to Opening

Walls are finally down around the queue of Falcon’s Fury, but the ride tower itself is still behind a small set of walls as kinks are being worked out with the ride system. It’s good to see the queue is covered and has plenty of fans to keep air moving in the hot, humid Florida summer. The park’s specialty painter recently started work on painting the tower, which looks great! Busch Gardens has not announced a new opening date yet, but once they do, we’ll be sharing that information with you as soon as we receive it.

Summer Nights

Summer Nights is back for another year, running June 28 to August 17. The park will be open until 9:00pm each night along with nightly fireworks, dance parties throughout the park and live entertainment. The popular Kinetix show (a mix of high-energy acrobatics and rock & roll) is back with an all new performance, which we’ll be covering in a future update. This year, Busch Gardens has added concerts on Saturday nights (Kinetix will not perform on Saturdays as a result) featuring national recording artists. ZZ Ward and pop/rock band Hot Chelle Rae kicked things off on June 28. Bridgit Mendler takes the stage July 5 and Latin artists El Gran Combo perform on July 12. Additional concerts will be announced soon. The shows are included with park admission and take place at the stage in Gwazi park. In addition to the live entertainment and dance parties during Summer Nights, guests can indulge in summer-favorite grilled food items and a selection of craft beers.

Paint the Camel

Over at the Painted Camel Bazaar in Pantopia, they’re doing a thing where if you donate $3 to the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Conservation Fund, you can paint a section of a camel just like on the sign for the shop. This looks like a fun activity to leave your mark in the park and also support a great cause.
