The MiceChat Roundup of Disney and theme park news and discussion is back and full of newsy, parky goodness.  Disney Hollywood Studios has ‘frozen over,’ as all manner of merchandise, characters and interactions inundate the park from Disney’s blockbuster animated film.  The ice would explain the recent accident at Lights, Motors, Action! too.  Let’s not forget Disneyland with its fully updated and Cal/OSHA approved Alice In Wonderland.  We have full ride through video and pics.  We are also getting trickles of news in about Halloween Time at the Disney properties around the globe including Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland in Anaheim.  Finally we close things out with all of the amazing podcasts and videos from the MicePod network and MiceTube. Also, DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE to meet author Chris Merritt and have breakfast with theme park luminaries as we look back at Pacific Ocean Park this Sunday at Downtown Disney Anaheim’s ESPN Zone. Disneyland Gets New Guardians And Returns To The Rabbit Hole
It’s a big, bold and patriotic weekend at the Disneyland Resort.  Alice in Wonderland, the classic Fantasyland dark ride, finally reopened after a long 6 month refurbishment.  Is it as good or better than it was before? We’ll show you the mostly amazing results. Comments for Disney News Round Up: Harry Potter officially opens and more! are now closed.

  1. 1. I don’t think 2D projections should be mixed with 3D objects. It seems to me they could have found other ways to beef up Alice, instead of taking the cheap way out. I also think there are other ways they could have provided for employee safety–ways far cheaper and easier than having messed with the vines at the end of the ride.

    2. Take a good look at the posters for “Guardians of the Universe” and tell me that fits Disneyland. Angry Monsters with guns? A mean looking, but very sexy lady in a tight outfit? A bad guy holding two sharp knives? What next? Gang member Mickey?

    Coney Island, maybe…

Michael Jackson should never have been in the place, either.

    3. In Frontierland, who the heck wants to waste valuable ride time playing some stupid game, especially when its 95 degrees outside?

    4. And as far as Club 33 goes—hope Justin Bieber enjoys it…

    But, that’s just me…
