We stopped into Tonyʼs on our way out of the Magic Kingdom recently and were able to snag a walk-up reservation for our family. My son was selected to help sing the song with the cast members at the opening of the dinner time seating. The cast members all hold up signs to help the guests sing along about Tonyʼs to the tune of “Thatʼs Amoreʼ”.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with the patio tables having a nice view of Main Street USA. Since it is still summer temperatures here, we opted for an indoor table and were seated near the beautiful Lady and the Tramp fountain. The outdoor tables would be an excellent choice during one of the parades.

Chef Meredith came out to the table to discuss our allergy needs and to my sonʼs delight she promised him egg-free spaghetti with a salad and a special dairy-free chocolate dessert. She made good on that promise, and he devoured everything on his plate including a mouth-watering dessert of chocolate Tofutti ice cream with chocolate syrup, sprinkles and shaved dark chocolate. She kicked it up another notch by including a miniature chocolate Tofutti milkshake in a coffee cup on the side. Tonyʼs and Chef Meredith are definitely on my sonʼs favorites list.

Italian restaurants are pretty rough for my onion allergy and lactose intolerance – try finding a sauce without onions or some form of dairy in it but Chef Meredith whipped up a special scampi with a very generous portion of grilled shrimp over a bed of linguine accented by fresh tomatoes and plenty of garlic. Tonyʼs gluten free pasta is some of the best tasting pasta I have ever tried. Delicious and safe
eating, it doesnʼt get any better than this!

Tonyʼs gets 2 thumbs up from our family. We will definitely be back!
