This past week I tried out Plancha, a Cuban-American cuisine restaurant inside the new Tranquilo Golf Club at the Four Seasons at WDW. The location of the restaurant is inside the former clubhouse of Disney’s Osprey Ridge, in which Disney Legend Dick Nunis and Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner had meals and drinks together.
The restaurant offers a very upscale modern interior and beautiful views of the surrounding golf course, the Four Seasons Convention Center and wildlife. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and a full bar. There are also televisions where sports games can be viewed.
The menu is somewhat limited as of now, but a more extensive menu should be introduced in the coming months.
The entrees mostly consist of Chef Pedro’s take on Cuban favorites as well as Cuban takes on Italian and American favorites. These include burgers, bruschetta, soups, fish tacos, catch of the day, chicken bites as well as a traditional Cuban sandwich. We were treated to a little bit of everything during our visit, and honestly I couldn’t get enough of the food!
The entire staff was extremely attentive and pleasant creating a very relaxed atmosphere to enjoy our meal.
The desserts offer variety from chocolate, to carrot cake cupcake topped with white chocolate, to tres leches. The Cuban coffee is sweetened with sugar whisked into the coffee prior to serving. A true treat!
The restaurant offers several specialty cocktails, as well as an array of unique infusion drinks and old standards. The bartender got rather creative during my visit, and whippedd up some amazing things!
If you are local, or have the opportunity to try it on your next visit you won’t be disappointed!
