We return to the Universal Orlando Resort to check on the progress of what we have identified as a new Transformers ride. Since last week, The CBS affiliate in Orlando ran the Transformers story and many other fan sites have continued to fuel the rumor mill. We’ll also check on the extension of the new Harry Potter universe inside Universal Studios Orlando. Oh, and there’s news of two new mazes for Halloween Horror Nights too.
TRANSFORMERS
Since last week, more excavation has taken place at the site of what we believe to be the new Transformers ride. The attraction, that Universal has still not officially announced, is following the same construction timeline as the Los Angeles counterpart and we can expect for this hole to get a lot deeper before vertical construction begins.
CITYWALK
The PYQ store in Universal Citywalk is still under development. Here is a recent picture of this unique gift shop.
HARRY POTTER 2.0
The expansive project continues on the far end of the studio park. Cranes have moved in and the walls and shoreline in the lagoon are getting the most attention ant the moment.
MIDWAY MANIA
Progress is continuing with the Simpsons Rides Midway game awnings.
HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS
Universal has, so far, announced two haunted houses for both the Hollywood and the Orlando Halloween Horror Nights events. They will be adapting the hit AMC series, The Walking Dead, and the video game and film series, Silent Hill into walk through attractions for the Fall events.
While the Silent Hill house is being built in one of the sound stages, we see that the Walking Dead maze is being constructed in the extended queue area of Disaster.
