Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! ‘Tis the season, and Walt Disney World is all decked out for the holidays, and over the next few weeks, we’ll take a look at all of it, starting with the Magic Kingdom. Let’s go!
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!
Christmas parties are in full swing.
WDW Railroad is back open and also decorated.
Love the toy soldiers!
The decor on Main Street USA had to change this year to accommodate the taller floats of the Festival of Fantasy parade. I personally prefer them because now the castle is not obscured by the decorations and a nice photo is possible.
Emporium is all decorated as well.
Hub progress from Crystal Palace.
Refurbishment continues in Adventureland.
Magic Carpets are down for a bit as well.
The Jingle Cruise is sailing again this year, time for lots of photos!
Lots of fun holiday cheer in the queue.
Jungle all the way!
To see most of the decorations, the right side of the boat is definitely the better side.
A Christmas Ambush!
Trader Sam-ta.
I know there have been mixed opinions on the tackiness of the Jingle Cruise, but to me, it makes sense, as the Jungle Cruise is tacky all year round. I also like seeing at least one holiday overlay attraction at MK.
Frontierland/Liberty Square decorations.
The backside of Cinderella Castle gets classy decor.
New Fantasyland also gets the holiday treatment.
Looks like Gaston decorated!
This popcorn mug is on sale for the holidays.
Tomorrowland side of the Hub progress.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol is in the Emporium windows now, and is definitely worth seeking out. Beautiful display.
On party nights, 4pm guests start entering, and CM’s have everyone else exit on the City Hall side of Main Street.
Sunset over the kingdom.
At 6:15 every night, the Frozen sisters and Olaf light the castle. I preferred the old show with Mickey and the gang, but either way, this view can’t be denied once the lights are on.
Good night from a festive Magic Kingdom!
That’s it for this week! Next week, we’ll be checking out the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at the Studios. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
