There’s now even more fine dining to celebrate onboard the Disney Cruise Line at Remy. The premium adults-only specialty restaurant, inspired by the film Ratatouille and featured exclusively on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, now offers additional tasting experiences that are sure to whet your appetite.

Petites Assiettes de Remy

First up is Petites Assiettes de Remy, or Small Plates of Remy, that serves a taste of the dishes created by award-winning Chef Arnaud Lallement and Chef Scott Hunnel, each course is paired with fine wine or champagne. This culinary journey is hosted and guided by the Executive Chef.

The first of six dishes is blinis with Californian caviar and Champagne served in the decadent wine room. The next four courses are then enjoyed throughout the main dining room such as grilled salmon with smoked salmon cream and Kobe beef with turnip and potato gratin. Lastly, dessert is taken in the Chef’s Table dining room.

Available only on the Disney Fantasy is also Pompidou’s Patisseries Dessert Experience, named after the dessert chef in Ratatouille. Here the Executive Chef and Executive Pastry Chef share the art and flavor of artistic sweets.

Guests are first greeted by their hosts in the Chef’s Table dining room, Chez Gusteau, modeled directly after Gusteau’s in the film. Then after being seated in the main dining room, six desserts are presented for tasting and discussed by the chefs such as French praline topped with milk chocolate mousse and dark chocolate glaze; raspberry sorbet paired with vanilla ice cream, French vanilla meringues and fresh raspberries; and orange crème pâtissière inside an orange-flavored tuile wafer.

The six-course menu highlights dishes such as gnocchi potato served with a truffle puree and garnished with grated truffle, fresh Maine lobster coupled with lobster bisque and truffle-seasoned Parisian fried potatoes and seared Wagyu beef over truffle glazed baby vegetables. The evening is crowned with a dessert and selection of fine cheeses.

The truffle menu at Remy is available at $250 per person.

Caviar Selections

What’s more, specialty caviar selections can be ordered a-la-carte with options including farm-raised varieties of Osetra and Sevruga caviars from regions in France and Russia.

All caviar is served with specially selected Krug Grande Année Champagne, and menu prices for a 1-ounce tin range from $99 to $360.

Not to be overlooked, regular Remy dinners continue to be available at $75 per person as well as sea day brunches on 4-night or longer voyages at $50 per person. (A $25 per person champagne pairing is also available at brunch.) As someone who has enjoyed two Remy dinners, I can attest that the dining experience, albeit expensive, is certainly a worthy one for genuine foodies. The new offerings in particular introduce welcome added-value options and prices that are, well, easier to swallow.
