There’s all sorts of discussion on confirmed and rumored refurbishments in the parks. Disneyland Resort 60th Anniversary Celebration Rundown Get your party hats ready. Last night, during a special after-hours presentation on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park, Tom Staggs (Chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts) announced that the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, which will mark the resort’s 60th anniversary, will begin Friday, May 22. Are You Ready To Paint The Night At Disneyland? On Wednesday night, Disneyland revealed the three new entertainment offerings which will debut May 22nd at the Disneyland Resort for the 60th Anniversary of the park Walt built (you can read more about those shows HERE). Of particular note is the return of a true nighttime parade to Disneyland Park. After the disastrous *Light Magic* failed to catch on following on the heals of the beloved *Main Street Electrical Parade, Disneyland simply gave up on the idea of an evening parade, relying instead on a daytime parade only. This spring, all of that will change when the park debuts Paint the Night* every evening.

Then we’ll enjoy a night of drinks, nibbles, and interaction with some of the most creative folks in the Animation industry! We will treat you with three fantastic panel discussions with notable legends and surprise guests: “This Animatronic Life” – The fantastic story of how Animatronics have transformed the theme park experience. “Disney in the Book” – Meet the authors behind some of the hottest Disney books currently available. You’ll have a chance to pick up your own signed copy of these fantastic tomes. More details will be shared shortly. “Voices of Magic” – The voices behind some of your favorite Disney characters will reveal the secrets behind bringing the magic to stage and screen. We will also celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Yesterland with MiceChat legend Werner Weiss. We’ve reviewed other titles by Studio Ghibli before and it’s no secret that the films by Hayoa Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli are some of our most favorite films of all time. As mentioned in previous reviews, My Neighbor Totoro and The Wind Rises are spectacular films and might be the best animated films ever made.
