Well said! World of Color is my favorite thing in the parks and I still enjoy taking pictures from the different vantage points we get every time. Your camera takes amazing shots! Someone else’s photos are never as impressive when your telling everyone back home about your trip. Congratulations you two!

@composerboy there is now shame at all. I saw the show a total of 4 times during our visit (or 4 1/2 if you count the false start), 2 of which I photographed. You see, when Disney trips are few and far between for international guests, there is something special about capturing your own memories and having those to look back on in what can often turn out to be years until the next time you find yourself experiencing the magic in person again.
I take theme park photos because I love the atmosphere, environment and unique quality that the themed lands bring to a photograph, capturing just that little bit of magic that cannot exist outside the gates in the real world. I take my photos because I am passionate about it, not because I want to show everyone back home — viewing other people’s holiday snaps can be quite tedious.

I think it’s a shame that you saw the show through a camera or worse – a phone. Why not just enjoy the show as it happens and show people back home some of the thousands of photos and videos already on the internet?
