Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This week, we’re touring the Magic Kingdom and getting ready for the holiday season. We’d also like to invite you to a very special event in Disney’s master-planned town of Celebration. Let’s go!

Walt Disney Birthplace Cocktail Reception – November 21st – Celebration, Florida

This event will continue the campaign the save and preserve the historic The Walt Disney Birthplace! We have already lost too many buildings that were an incredibly important part of Walt Disney’s history. And that is one of the reasons why it is essential that this landmark is restored to its original state, honoring and preserving the home for generations to come.

But, we can only do this with your help. Chicago’s harsh winter is rapidly approaching and if something isn’t done fast, the fragile home built in 1893 will suffer tremendous damage. Welcome to the Magic Kingdom! — Welcome to the Magic Kingdom, where the Main Street Train Station is under refurbishment.

As of Monday, there was some sign of Halloween left. Not there as of Tuesday morning. — On Monday, there were still some traces of Halloween left. By Tuesday morning, they were all gone.

The holidays arrive at the Emporium! — The holidays have arrived at the Emporium!

Hub progress - Tomorrowland side. — Slow progress on the central hub expansion. This is the Tomorrowland side of the project.

Stage set for a Totally Tomorrowland Christmas.

Wreaths and trees set up for Elsa to light the castle this week.

The character statuettes are currently missing.

I wonder if this is only temporary or if these will be relocated as part of the new Hub.

WDW Railroad still down for refurbishment.

There was a small fire on the Mine Train last week, but the ride is up and running this week. — There was a small fire on the Mine Train last week (ignited by fireworks embers), but the ride was up and running the same night.

As you can see, the flagpole on Main Street is relocated to City Hall for the holidays, leaving this beautiful photo until the Christmas tree moves in.
