A couple of nights ago the stars aligned and I had a few hours to myself. The Boy was sleepy and went to bed early and easily, and my Beloved had a late night staff meeting. So, having free time I chose to indulge in my favorite obsession pastime. I searched for new Haunted Mansion pictures online. That and the episodes of Storage Wars I watched last weekend made for one strange dream. I thought I’d share it with you… ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Americans love horror stories. I’m not just talking about Stephen King, here. Find out a couple is getting married? After we congratulate them we break out the stories of infidelity and betrayal. One of your girlfriends announces she is pregnant? After much cooing, the mothers in the group start telling tales of 36 hour labor, preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.

My grandparents lived in Florida. Venice Beach, to be exact. We went to visit them twice in the 70s. Both times we went to Walt Disney World. Pre-EPCOT, ticket book, you-can-still-sense-the-essence-of-Walt, vintage Walt Disney
