It's A Quest...

  1. Slightly OT: An Excellent Lesson

I watched Frozen for the first time this past weekend. Yes, I know, I’m way behind on my current events. In all fairness, my parents took The Boy to see it in the theaters and it was not high on my personal priority list.

When I let The Boy select his own preschool graduation present this past weekend, he chose the Frozen DVD. Of course, we had to watch it as soon as we got home from the store. I had seen mixed opinions/reviews of the movie here on MC and on other Disney ...

I’m back! Without boring you with the gory details, let us just say that reality reared its ugly head and made life very challenging since October. Things are back to what would pass as normal in my life, so I have returned to continue my story of the Quest for DisneyBliss 2016©!

With half of the accumulated vacation fund gone to foolish things like groceries and mortgage payments, we redoubled our efforts to save. No snack foods, eating out, or morning Starbucks for this family! A ...

I love the deeply symbolic meanings of the season revolving around its earliest incarnations as a festival celebrating life and death and rebirth.

If you’re new to the blog, I also love the Haunted Mansion. ...

In anything you do in life, there are stages much like the stages of life. We go from childhood to adolescence to maturity to seniority to death. Be it in jobs, friendships, or romantic relationships, the pattern is there. Even on chat boards.

I joined MiceChat in April of this year, new to the site but not to the concept. I’d been on my share of chat boards in the past, but there is always the brief childhood phase where you feel your way around the new culture. I asked the foolish ...
  5. Reflection: Paint and Pixels

The Boy has finally discovered Disney movies. He has loved Cars, Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo for a few years now, but those don’t count. They are Pixar movies. (not that there’s anything wrong with that) About three months ago Cinderella was on the Disney Channel. To my surprise, he loved it. Then he saw Tangled and thought it was great! Most recently, and much to his father’s relief, Peter Pan is the movie of repetitive addiction. In the tub the other ...
