  1. A balancing act.

    by , 07-01-2010 at 02:04 PM
They say that you never forget how to ride a bike. That may be true. However, what they don't tell you is that once you get older you don't balance so well. That's especially true when you ride over rocks on a country road.

That's what my neighbor did on Monday when she fell off that bike and dislocated her elbow. She hit a rock in the road, lost her balance, and went flying. Accidents happen. I call my neighbor Murphy already, and this just proves that I have cause to do so. ...
  2. Not my favorite year.

The electrician was at my house for two days, and now he hasn't been back in almost a week.

My tenant, who sometimes drives me crazy, and sometimes is a big help in this entire attic fiasco dislocated her elbow yesterday. Tomorrow when she comes back from Michigan I will find out just how bad.

I guess if she needs help, I'll get elected.

I guess she'll be hurting pretty badly for a while.

I wonder how patient she will be now about the ...
  3. Worse than having a baby.

Tomorrow the electrician is finally due back.

I remember when I was pregnant with my first son. People kept asking me when the baby was due. "Some time in ...
  4. A Crystal Ball

    by , 06-04-2010 at 02:37 PM
I wish that I had a Crystal Ball, and that I could look into the future. I'd really like to know how this entire attic renovation is going to play out. I have a million questions. Well maybe not a million but a few have been popping into my mind as I sit here.

What will Kathy and Sean say when they hear that their fancy standup shower has been demoted to a tub, thanks to a "field condition?

When do we get to the fun part, like picking out colors, and floor samples? ...
  5. Digging in the mud.

    by , 06-02-2010 at 11:18 AM
About 2 o'clock this morning, the sound of rain woke me up. As much as we probably need the rain, I was disappointed. I had major plans to get back out into my backyard, and continue working on my project. So when morning finally arrived, I decided it was a good day to get some laundry done.

After an early lunch, I decided to go check out the ground conditions outside. The ground was moist, and not quite as muddy as I thought it would be. I was able to plant some daylilies, and ...
